A clip to give a second life to plastic bottle caps by turning them into creative toys.
Clip-it is an ESS start-up supported by the Montpellier BIC. Its two founders, Cyril Rheims and Mathieu Collos, met when studying at the ENSAM. (National School of Architecture of Montpellier). In 2016, they created WASTE IS MORE (WIM) for a European competition on the theme of waste recycling, which they won with a system using an upcycled clip to turn plastic bottle caps into a creative construction toy.
Since its launch, Clip-it has already processed 800,000 plastic caps into 8 million clips. The company has a production capacity of 50,000 clips per day. It works with the charity Bouchons d'Amour from whom it buys the bottle caps.
